One of the perks of attending the 8th Annual Forged Performance Open House and Dyno Day was the raffle and giveaways through out the day. With over $5,000 in prizes the raffle was a massive success! Our friend Andy, who owns a beautiful Silverstone 350Z with SSR Professor SP1 wheels in a stunning Spectrum Silver finish was the lucky person that took the free Forged Performance Photoshoot prize home. Yesterday me and Andy were able to align our schedules to meet up and take his car out for the proper photos it deserves. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago me and the rest of the Forged Performance Team attended the annual mega Nissan event known as Z Nationals. Saturdays itinerary included the car show and dyno day at Z1 Motorsports in Carrollton, Georgia. Photo coverage of the car show can be seen HERE.

While we enjoyed Saturdays event at Z1, we’re true track junkies and the Z Nats HPDE event always grabs our attention. We left Forged Performance Sunday morning at 6am in the Forged F-450 tow pig with Sharif’s 2013 Black Edition GT-R secured in the enclosed hauler bound for Barber Motorsports Park, which was playing host to this years track event. After a uneventful two hour drive into Alabama we arrived at one of America’s most elegant tracks just moments before the drivers meeting. After exiting the mandatory meeting I was able to make my way around the paddock and feast my eyes on the remarkable display of Nissan vehicles in attendance. As the track went hot I started to travel around this beautiful motorsports complex camera in hand and this is the result:

As most of you know, last Saturday was the 8th Annual Forged Performance Open House and Dyno Day. This event always brings out a very impressive collection of performance cars and a great group of people. In case you missed it, click HERE for our photo event coverage. While I did spend part of my time snapping photos I also managed to get some video though out the event. Over the past week I pieced together some clips so please turn your speakers up, turn on HD and enjoy!

This past Saturday, Forged Performance opened its doors at 10am for our annual Open House and Dyno Day. This event has been a tradition for the past eight years and always attracts some of the nicest performance oriented vehicles in the Southeast. We give 110% to assure this day is the absolute best for all our friends, family, customers and fellow motorsports enthusiasts in attendance. With over $5,000 in raffle giveaways, a live DJ, free catered gourmet lunch from the notorious Grand Champion BBQ and a plentiful amount of stunning performance cars on hand, this event is a must for every car guy and girl! The event goes from the mid morning deep into the afternoon with an impressive and diverse crowd of vehicles completing power tests on our state-of-the-art Dyno Dynamics AWD Dynometer. With the beautiful sounds of horsepower and boost in the background, this becomes such a welcoming place for longtime friends to catch up and to meet new contacts as well. Make sure to stay tuned for our video feature of the event and we will see everyone trackside!

Saturday morning a few friends and I made the short 50 mile journey to Z1 Motorsports in Carrollton, Georgia for the car show and dyno day portion of this years Z Nationals. I was piloting the Forged Performance sponsored One Lap of America GT-R, with right at 700whp on tap, Aeromotions Active Wing and an in-your-face custom livery scheme this car always draws a crowd. With an impressive 1:29 around Road Atlanta on 300 treadwear tires under its belt it, this car has the function to backup its looks. My friend and coworker, Adam was also along for the ride in another Forged Performance built GT-R sporting our FP1-R sleeved 4.0L, FP1-R head package, in-house built transmission and JUN GTX3582R Turbo Kit. This beautiful black GT-R is accented with gloss black HRE P44SC and looks so very sinister at every angle! We rolled into Z1 by 9:30am and was shocked to see the massive parking lot already at 95% capacity! We crept through the crowd at a painfully slow pace trying our best to avoid the thick groups of people. We eventually made it to the back corner of the lot where we were able to park with the group of other GT-R’s in attendance. After cautiously backing the cars into their adjacent parking spaces I climbed out of the OLOA GT-R and connected my lens to my camera body.

After a few short hellos to friends, I started to make my way around Z1′s facility doing my best to capture the event in all its magnificence.

The very first time I walked over to the dyno, I saw this mint Z32TT being strapped down and thought back to the one my Dad had when I was a kid and smiled. I remembered how much I liked that car when I was younger and then mid-thought, the sound of an extreme amount of boost pulled me back to reality as I saw this beast put down over 750rwhp!

As always, Z Nationals has the HOTTEST ladies in attendance including Brittney, who won MAXIM Magazine’s Home Town Hotties last year!

Znats veteran Meghan and friend Alissa were also there to spend some time with me and my Nikon, thank you girls, as always it was a pleasure!

I know it is pretty easy to be distracted by the Z1 Girls and totally forget there is a car show and dyno day going on but I did manage to break away temporarily and get some photos of cars! I know, crazy right?!? It is my job to provide event coverage to all of those that were not able to attend so I had to do what was necessary.
