This our fourth year attending the annual Texas event and every year keeps getting better and better. We had a fantastic time at TX2K14, and enjoyed talking to everyone. With the cancellation of the Road Course event that we always look forward to, we found ourselves with just enough time on our hands to convert our shop GT-R into a Police GT-R. Even the local police department complimented us on a job well done. Despite the wet conditions, we still had a wonderful time talking and meeting dozens of GT-R owners all over the country, and even some from out of the country. We are looking forward to next year’s T2K15!

Special thanks to Peter, his family, and the staff of TX2K14 for hosting an incredibly well organized event. See you all again soon.

It’s about that time of the year that we lock down and starting planning our annual NAGTROC/GT-R Owners track day at the historic Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA just outside of Danville. Every year, this event grows in size and scope, last hosting about 40 cars! Although we are finalizing the event details, we wanted to get the date out in front of everyone so you can save the date and start clearing your calendars.

If you are interested in private coaching, please let me know.

This year, our event will follow the NASA Mid Atlantic 3 day Weekend which means those looking for more track time can sign up for their weekend HPDE. We consider the NASA HPDE a “warm up” for the main event on Monday as 10-15 of our customers and friends will also be signing up for the NASA’s weekend track time. As in years past, our event is still open to all makes and models. We are doing our best to keep the event cost about the same as least year but with the increased rental rates and brand new track surface the event will be $499. With just a handful of cars on track simultaneously, you will enjoy mostly wide open laps on one of the best tracks in the country.

As mentioned, within a few days, we will have signup links on our website active with firm details of the event. Mark your calendars now for Monday July 21, 2014, and Sunday July 19-20th if you are planning to attend the NASA event.

Our inaugural visit to VIR this year was filled with excitement. Inclement weather started the weekend off, and the early Saturday session had snow on the racetrack! Fours inches of snow on track wouldn’t keep us from enjoying the track, as the sun did come out and we enjoyed not only perfect temps but the first run at the freshly repaved track. Sharif commented that the new paving should be good for several seconds off lap times. “With several key sections of the track widened, coupled with a perfectly smooth and sticky new track surface that FIA Officials would be proud of, my lap times dropped by 3-4 seconds per lap easily. There is still more time to exploit at VIR…I love it!”, proclaimed Sharif after taking passenger on a brisk 2:01 laptime on worn out street tires and some traffic.

Chin Motorsports again put on a well organized event and we enjoyed the changes VIR has made to improve the track. Our next event will be Chin Motorsports at Road Atlanta on April 5-6,

Sunny Sebring International raceway was the destination for the first event of the 2014 season. The forged team left a unusually cold Georgia to make the trip to Florida to run on the historic track.
Everyone in attendance was delighted to find very mild weather throughout the weekend. Our friends at Chin Motorsport put on such a well organized event, all drivers had all the track time they could ask for.

In addition to the perfect weather, and outstanding track conditions, we also met some new GT-R owners with the the Florida community. Our January Sebring visit has become a tradition over the past several years, and we are already looking forward to next year.
