Mike Williams first walked through our doors back in mid 2007. He actually stopped by unannounced, just to check out out our facility. We didn't know this at the time, but he we was actually auditioning several shops for what would be a very large project car buildup. After meeting the Forged Performance staff, and taking a tour of our facility, he dropped his G35 coupe off for a massive power and performance overhaul.
The buildup was done in 3 stages, culminating into a 700whp JWT 850bb Custom Twin Turbo Setup, a Forged Performance S1 Short Block, GTM C2 camshafts and FP head-work.
To support 700whp+, we used a high capacity Greddy front mount intercooler, and adapted new piping to work with the JWT TT kit. To increase the front subframe chassis regidity, we fabricated a custom one-off front chassis brace, located behind the intercooler. The engine is controlled by the HKS FCON-Vpro, tuned by Sharif @Forged. To assist in stopping and controlling all of that power, we installed a set of TEIN Super Racing Coilovers, and Rotora 12 Piston front brakes with 15" rotors up front, and 6 Piston 15" inch rotors out back. A set of Hotchkis Sway bars, Carbonetic LSD, DSS Level 5 axles and Carbonetic Triple Disc Clutch rounds out the supporting drivetrain and suspensions system.
Inside the cabin, we custom mounted a collection of Defi gauges, and HKS Knock Amp, HKS EVC boost control systems within easy view of the driver. To provide additional diagnostic and support, an HKS CAMP2 was integrated into his factory Navigation displays system.
In the end, we created a show car quality 200mph+ capable supercar, that is driven every single day without compromises. Mission accomplished!
